A look into the world of Santana Bellas, and the custom apparel Everywhere made for his project “find yourself first”
Santana Bellas is a multidisciplinary creative based in Berlin, Germany who expresses himself through digital and print design, photography and art direction.
We worked with Santana to create a custom dyed and printed recycled t shirt to accompany the launch of his photo book “find yourself first”, a collection of quiet, moving images that interweave nature, portraiture, and subtle moments of human connection. The book’s title stems from one of Santana’s tattoos, the Rumi quote “Go find yourself first so that you can also find me.”
We asked Santana a few questions about sustainability, the shirt color he chose for the project, and his love for Sade.

What does sustainability mean to you? How do you incorporate it into your work and life?
For me, it’s mindfulness of the environment. How I transport through the city to me being strict on myself when it comes to placing waste.
I’ve been focusing on creating personal work that utilizes recycled material, natural dyes and/or even finding a digital approach to it. It’s about finding sustainable solutions to produce the work that you personally want.
Why the Santana Bellas beige for the shirts? Tells us about the color and why it's important to you.
I‘m a big fan of all earth tones and I bounced around a little bit before I found a certain color that suited me well. I was heavy on olive but made that switch to beige a few years ago. It’s subtle, gentle, calming and easy on the eyes.
After a while I would always include beige into my outfit. I would have to say it’s the calmness that I associate with the color that attracts me to it overall.
Tell us about your love for Sade.
My mother would play her music when I was younger. So her music brings back memories and carries this peaceful and soothing vibe. Not only that, her videos, style and her lowkeyness is intriguing. She’s an artist that I can always go back to and never get bored of because her work ages really well.
